It is very important to attempt some other tests too, apart from MDCAT, not just for practice but also to get an idea of how to manage time during such nerve-wracking tests. It is not a very wise decision to rely on just one test, that too a test as important as MDCAT. Given below is a list of some other tests that you can appear for, before MDCAT:
1. NATIONAL TESTING SERVICE (NTS):
National testing service (NTS) conducts NAT ‘National Aptitude Test’ every month for admission in various universities across Punjab.
Registration: The registration for the test to be conducted in June has been closed but you can still attempt the test for July. The important dates for the next two NTS tests are as follows:
NAT- 6: Will be conducted on Sunday, June 16, 2019. The registration for the test has closed on the 15th of May, 2019. Students who have registered themselves for the test can appear for this test.
NAT-7: If you haven't registered yourself for NAT-6, You can still appear for NAT-7 which will be conducted on Sunday, 14 July 2019. The registration for the test will start on Sunday, 10 June 2019 and will close on Wednesday 21 June 2019.
PATTERN OF THE TEST:
Total MCQs: 90
English: 20
Analytical: 20
Quantitative: 20
Physics: 8
Chemistry: 8
Biology: 14
Total marks=100 (120 minutes)
There is no negative marking.
2. NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (NUST):
This may seem like a weird suggestion but believe us, this is worth it too! National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) conducts three tests every year, tentatively in the months of December, March, and July. Though it no more conducts the entrance test for admission in Army Medical College, their test for ‘BS Applied Biosciences’ can be attempted for practice by Pre Medical Students because it is very similar to MDCAT Test.
Registration: The registration for NET-III has already been started on 05 May 2019 and will close on 13 June 2019. The tests will be conducted from 29 June 2019 onwards in Islamabad and from 12-14 July 2019 in Karachi and Quetta.

HSSC / A level / Equivalent: 15 % Matriculation / O Level: 10%
NET is compiled from textbooks prescribed for HSSC courses. Candidates preparing for NET are advised to consult all relevant textbooks of various boards of education.
3. AGHA KHAN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY TEST:
AKU is one of the most prestigious medical institutes of the country. The registrations for the test have closed on the 20th of May, 2019. If you have registered yourself for the test already, you can appear for the test. The test will be conducted on Sunday, June 16, 2019, in Karachi, Quetta, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit, Chitral, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Faisalabad, and Sukkur.

Section I for English consists of a total of 60 multiple choice questions divided into five subsections. Time allocated for this section is 1 hour.
While section II for Science and Mathematics consists of 120 multiple choice questions, to be attempted in 2 hours and 30 minutes.The division of MCQs in this section is as follows
Biology: 20 MCQs
Physics: 20 MCQs
Chemistry: 20 MCQs
Mathematics reasoning: 30 MCQs
Science reasoning: 30 MCQs
In Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, every wrong answer loses 0.25 marks.
4. ENGINEERING COLLEGE ADMISSION TEST (ECAT):
The registrations for the test have not started yet. Entry test tokens will be available from 10 June 2019 to 2 July 2019 from designated HBL branches. The entry test will be conducted on Sunday, 14th of July 2019. Pre-medical students can also appear for the test under the course of 'Biomedical Engineering'.
