The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons held a meeting on 15th June 2023 to discuss the improvement of the current education/assessment system in Punjab. At the meeting, it was decided to introduce a syndicate marking system in the SSC & HSSC annual examinations conducted in 2 Annual 2023.

Furthermore, it was decided that the analytical/conceptual part of question papers will be 25% of all subject papers in the 1 Annual 2024 exams for both SSC & HSSC. All BISES must organize meetings with the paper setters and generate 10 model papers for each subject.

Additionally, the committee will review the model papers proposed and disseminate them to the class-level teachers of SSC and HSSC. This allows both teachers and students to prepare well for the examinations. No paper setter will be hired unless they have command of Bloom's Taxonomy.
